    • At SQA, we place equality at the heart of our work, and we are deeply aware of our responsibilities towards individual learners. Our equalities work is driven not only by legislative requirements but also by recognition of the diverse needs of the communities across Scotland.

      The course contains 3 Modules:

      1. Equity and Inclusion
      2. Context and Reference material
      3. Accessible Language


      You can complete them all at once or separately.       Completing the entire course is estimated at 60 minutes. Separate estimated completion time is noted at the start of each module. 

      Through the modules we will explore and discuss the main objectives of inclusive assessment, these are: 

      • Fulfilling our legislative requirements 
      • Ensuring our assessments are free from stereotypes and discrimination 
      • Ensuring our assessments reflect diverse groups and voices 
      • Ensuring our assessments are accessible to learners with protected characteristics
